Q: How do I view statistics for my Facebook page?
A: It’s all in the Insights! As a business owner and Facebook Page Manager, you can see all sorts of statistics and demographics for your page’s performance, and it’s really easy to do!
At the top of your page, there’s a tab labeled “Insights.” Clicking on this tab will take you to a new page, and on the left there are several tabs to choose from.
First, let’s talk about the “Likes” portion of Insights, the second tab. This page gives you access to total page likes, net likes vs. unlikes, and what sources your page likes came from. Each of these sections can also be broken down by each day to find more specific numbers.
Next, in the “Reach” section, you find how many people saw each post, the number of likes, comments, and shares you received and total reach. You can also select a date range for the Reach page – from days to weeks to months! The charts on this page will adjust according to the date range you choose.
In the “Visits” section, you find how many times each of the tabs on your page was visited (i.e. your timeline, photos, insights, info and apps) as well as how people found your Facebook page (i.e. Google, Yahoo or your website). You can also select a date range for the Visits page.
So, how do you keep track of what you’ve posted on your page? You can learn about your past posts in the “Posts” section. The Posts tab gives you a brief overview of every post displayed on your page. You can see brief stats for the type of media posted, overall reach and engagement. You are also given the option to pay to promote your posts from this tab.
Finally, the “People” tab is the hub for all things audience-related. Here you can find your page demographics (who your posts are reaching) such as the percent of male vs. female page viewers, the age range and geographical location of your followers.
